Darshan started his career in public safety in high school as a firefighter at the Swift Creek Fire Department. He later took the first ACERIP EMT Class while he was a student at UNC-CH. Darshan eventually became the second president of ACERIP and worked with Lynn to grow the program to offer two EMT classes per semester. Over the last 10 years, Darshan has taught numerous EMT and Public Safety courses. Currently, Darshan is an Emergency Management Specialist with Wake County Emergency Management where he directs the county’s Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program & the Homeland Security Program. Darshan’s varied experience in public safety in conjunction with his passion for training/education allows him to provide students real world perspectives on what they are learning in class.
